We are all clones

I made an eclectic mix! Very little straight-out rock involved, for once, and a rather clashy composition of tracks:

1. ViV - Green
2. The Smashing Pumpkins - Eye
3. The Moody Blues - Legend of A Mind
4. The Cardigans - Black Letter Day
5. Enigma - Gravity of Love
6. Jefferson Airplane - White Rabbit
7. Pink Floyd - Careful With That Axe, Eugene
8. No Doubt - New
9. Queensryche - Scarborough Fair
10. The Cardigans - Lovefool
11. Orbital - Halycon
12. David Bowie/Nine Inch Nails - I'm Afraid of Americans
13. Horrorpops - Miss Take
14. Nine Inch Nails - Hurt

I like making mixes. There's so much one can do with mood and atmosphere, and really, every mood swing should have an accompanying soundtrack. I think this one would be "Life is kind of strange and ironic but should mostly just be laughed at, in kind of an optimistically cynical way." The presence of Nine Inch Nails alone does wonders for the amusement part.

On that note (snark snark - nudge nudge, Amy?) why must people be such insufferable drama queens? Honestly, I think at least seventy percent of the world's population thrives on the stuff. If they don't have something to ridiculously overinflate or cry or gossip about, they may just keel over dead. Enter my manager, who this morning told the same story relating yesterday's fight with our secretary three times in my hearing, in the space of less than twenty minutes. I found it very sad that I could quote along to Sandra's exact supposed tone at the "And I asked if there was anything I could take back to the building, and she said, 'Well, there isn't anything on the corner now, is there' and I wasn't about to get into this with her, I wasn't going to be the unprofessionl one, and so I left and she said, 'Well thanks for the apology'" part by Telling Number Four with Darby (I was the fortunate recipient of Telling Number One, yesterday).

And they're oblivious, as well. You'd think people would notice that with each progressive telling, the normally cool, calm, collected office assistant in the corner has been crying and banging her head against the table. But nooo...all I got out of it was a headache.

Also, Amy has composed a poem.

And finally, Christin's cafe is in Fox News. Yes, that would be national. *Foxy lady victory dance for Christin*
